Brief History of Revell

The company was founded in 1947 in the United States in the city of Venice, Calif., by Jacque Fresco and Lou Glaser. The Revell was purchased and absorbed by Monogram Models Company, established in the state of Illinois. The name Revell was very strong market and has been maintained. In 2006 there was again a separation of the marks.

In 2007 the company was Revell-Monogram acquired by Hobbico Inc.

Revell AG

In 1956 the German subsidiary of Revell was founded in Germany under the name Revell Plastics GmbH, later known as Revell AG. In 70 years the German company began releasing their own models, developed outside the U.S. and whatever American headquarters. These models gained a reputation for very accurate and high quality.
