This is undoubtedly one of the most desired by kits scale model 1 / 48 in Brazil. The Seaking Navy currently flies from Brazil and mount an SH-3 in the colors of the MB is a dream of many modellers.

Now we give an overview of this kit, raising the strengths and weaknesses of this big guy Hasegawa.

The kit is a mixture of simplicity and complexity. So I set this model. Simplicity is the lack of internal detail, in the absence of a few more details for those who want to ride the helicopter with the tail rotor folded and - in my opinion the most serious - in the immense failure of having doors molded in closed position. This is a serious mistake, because it prevents the interior details are seen and that more trains are made by more experienced modelers.

The strengths are in the presence of a small set of photoetch, with some railings and screens, in the presence of lines in low relief and very fine detail and ability to assemble the kit with the main rotor blades folded. For those who have little space, this option is very handy.

The injection of plastic is very well made, without burrs and deformed parts. The main rotor blades are molded to the already sagging from the weight of each blade, giving a very cool and realistic effect to the final model. The tree of transparencies is also fairly accurate, with no negative highlights.

The version reviewed here is the Desert Storm, with decals for aircraft flown during the Desert Storm campaign of 1991 in Kuwait / Iraq, called the first Gulf War. The instructions are very detailed and covers all steps of the assembly.

I confess I had great expectations for this kit. However, I got a little disappointed when I opened it and saw the doors molded in closed position. The lack of internal details are also lacking. I believe that the value of this kit on the market, there could be more detailed.

But in general, is a very good kit. I've seen several assembled with very great quality and is certainly a full plate in the hand of a moderately experienced modeler. I recommend the kit but without much expectation. Note 7 to the model ;)
