Who rides militaria know how complicated it is to find the correct stars and well printed when we want to reform an old kit or a vesa mount not on the original sheet of decal kit.

Thinking about making the national FCM decal decal launched some time ago a decal sheet filled with white stars and yellow (U.S. ARMY Insignias, No. 3502), ideal for kits of American World War II, Korean War and Vietnam.

fcm-insignias-americanas-1-35-004

fcm-insignias-americanas-1-35-003

The sheet is very well served with options of various sizes, isolated or surrounded with stars, some of them dashed circles, typical markings applied with stencilled.

What makes this set even more interesting is the presence of 0-9 numbers in white and yellow and the words U.S. ARMY USA and also in these two colors. These supplements are perfect to mount the miniature base any U.S. military until the 80 or so.

Note 10 to the set and recommend that everyone have at home, even if not yet a project to use them.

Review Condor Decals Phantoms in Nam Pt. 2 1 / 72

condor-decais-phantom-1-72-000

The Condor Decals is an Argentine manufacturer of decal, which has a number of interesting variations for various models in major scales.

Evaluated in this review sheet number 72 006 entitled "Phantoms in Nam Part 2." The decal sheet of options to bring the assembly of three models of F-4B Phantom II flown in the Vietnam War. The choice of the versions could not be more appropriate and popular: two versions for aircraft of VF-84 "Jolly Rogers" and one for an F-4 VF-111 "Sundowners".

condor-decais-phantom-1-72-002

The decals are well printed, with a brilliant movie and relatively thin. There are markings to complete just two aircraft. One weakness is the lack of more emblems of the wings in large size. There is only one pair.

The set of Condor does not bring too stencils for the models, leaving it to the modeler to go after another set or use the decal kit.

condor-decais-phantom-1-72-003

Leaf instuctions not colored, and the location of the decal is shown only in the design, without giving numbers. Nothing serious for those already accustomed to the hobby or for those who have multiple reference photos, but can make a difference for the beginner.

The final assessment is a good set of complementary with decal kits. If the kit does not have the stencils, even assum sheet of Condor can be used with excellent results. Note 7 to these decals and recommended scenario sets as an option to more expensive, difficult to achieve and imported from other countries.

Review decal F-14A Tomcat 1 / 48 FCM

Posted by Marcelo On June - 4-2009

fcm-f-14a-1-48-000

The FCM decals are undoubtedly among the best in the market. Who monitors the modeling for some years know how this Brazilian manufacturer has evolved both in material quality and in research and accuracy.

This decal evaluated here, the sheet F-14A Tomcat "Starfighters" (48-32) leaves no doubt that extensive research has been done to assemble this set.

Print impeccable, which really caught my attention - and made me buy the paper - were the wide range of stencils present in the leaf and the squad chosen to compose the decal, the VF-33 "Starfighters".

The market is really saturated with options for F-14 decal, but the vast majority is concentrated in the squads most popular VF-84/VF-103 as the "Jolly Rogers" VF-111 "Sundowners" among others.

fcm-f-14a-1-48-001

The option of a lesser-known squad certainly please the domestic and foreign markets, especially for modelers seeking markings and colors of the traditional.

This set includes markings for two aircraft of the squadron VF-33 - a version in another broad visibility and low visibility, in shades of gray. Appeals to fans modelers to two styles.

f-14-twobobs-000

The Two Bobs is undoubtedly one of the best company decal today. With decals printed by Microscale, the choice of subjects and the amount of information offered in sets of Two Bobs are some of their differences.

This review is dedicated to one of these great sets - F-14B Last of the Tomcats - set 72-040. This decal sheet allows the modeler to build two variants of the famous Jolly Rogers Squadron - VF-103 on his last cruise.

f-14-twobobs-001

The decals are well printed, in a very thin film without flaws, and colors very well defined. Salo two options for markings, both on a regimen of low visibildade mixed with high visibility markings.

We can also highlight the beautiful sheet of instructions, full color and with photos of the real plane as a reference.

For those who like to build models that participated in real campaigns, one of aernaves brings brands of pumps for use in the nose of the F-14.

It is a set highly recommended for those who ride modern naval aviation. Note 10 no doubt!

Review decal SU-22 Toff Decals

Posted by Marcelo On May - 30-2009

su22-toff-decals-000

The Hungarian company has Toff in your line a series of decals aircraft that country. the decals are printed without a lot stencils and many details, bringing only the most important badges.

This set is for the rated Sukoi SU-22 Fitter on the scale 1 / 72 and is well printed, with the colors and well defined within the registry.

The Toff decals are thin and do not seem to have the film characteristic of traditional decal. That brings the risk that the paint does not have any protection, applied directly on the layer of glue. I say this for some decals for it a few scratches that reveal a certain fragility of the finish. Other than that, it's a great option if your beach is the most exotic aircraft paintings. Note 7.

F/A-18C Review Afterburner Decals 1 / 48

Posted by Marcelo On May - 30-2009

afterburner-decals-f-18c-1-48-000

A fantastic set of decals. Thus we can define this "sheet" of the decals Afterburner dedicated exclusively to the F/A-18C Hornet. There are no fewer than five options for a type of markings on the scale 1 / 48.

The set 48 042, rated here, consists of three sheets of decals, printed with exceptionally high quality and precision, and colors very well defined. Besides the decal, the set includes two sheets of instructions and paint schemes and decal application of very well made. A table with guidelines for choice of weaponry is also present in a leaf.

afterburner-decals-f-18c-1-48-004

afterburner-decals-f-18c-1-48-005

The theme of this set is "Snakes on a Plane 'because the markings are unique to squadron VFA-86 Sidewinders U.S. Navy and all options carry the emblem of a cobra at the helm, the symbol of the squadron Sidewinders. The paintings are atauais aircraft, used in recent operations of U.S. Marines in Iraq. One of the leading brands of pumps schemes in the nose.

The highlights are the choice of camo painting of one of the F/A-18C VFA-86. If you're tired of traditional painting with the Hornets can opt for the gray paint camufladae quite different. Will surely stand out among other Hornets from your collection.

afterburner-decals-f-18c-1-48-007

afterburner-decals-f-18c-1-48-006

Even as an option of painting the modeler can choose to mount an F/A-18C standard, with emblems in low-visibility or even choose between two options aircraft CAG, color and high visibility. What distinguishes one from another option in the versions most colorful is the presence of a large orange diamond on the back of the Hornet. This is a great option to escape all the models in gray.

This is a beautiful set of decals, at a reasonable cost manufacturer's suggested $ 15. Fearless and totally recommend for anyone who rides 1 / 48 and is looking for a different version of those found in the kits. Note 10!
