Posted by Marcelo On September - 16-2009

This bizarre tip comes from my friend William Conter, who stumbled across this - at least - strange line of products in our company, well known Japanese plastic kits.

We have no idea what it is, whether it's a joke or not, but there is for everyone to see: bread canned Tamiya. Echoing the words of this fellow in the email ... WTF !?!?!

World War II - Images of yesterday and today

Posted by Marcelo On September - 10-2009

Who likes military history, especially World War II, has certainly found himself wondering how they would be today some of the houses and places in the European countries that have suffered through years of war.

A selection of photos published on the site www.izismile.com shows exactly that: a comparison of photos from yesterday and today for seats located in Normandy, days after the Allied invasion of France in 1944. The images show that very little has changed in many of those scenarios.

I wonder how many people pass through these places every day without realizing what happened there ... well, it's really a fantastic journey through time.

The whole selection of images can be viewed directly on the site: http://izismile.com/2009/09/03/normandy_during_ww2_and_now_204_pics.html

Trail mats on the asphalt

Posted by Marcelo On September - 7-2009

Here are two useful images even modelers to: the effect that the mats are shielded from the asphalt. In this case are the marks left by an armored M60A3TTS Brazilian Army. Very useful for those who will build a diorama or vignette in the streets with armored asflatadas!

The photos below were taken on August 23, 2009 and show two highlights - at least for this blogger: the M578 armored rescue vehicle, based on self-propelled howitzer chassis M107/M110, and the M109A3, with a 155mm cannon.

I took the pictures "for model", with images of the details, wear, dirt and all that like to play in the kits.
